Served straight from the plank, these steaks make for an impressive yet easy-to-prepare meal that’s perfect for a cozy dinner for two.

Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. Spicelopedia™ Primo Steak & Grill Spice
- 1 – 1½ lb. sirloin steak
- ¼ cup BBQ sauce of choice
Directions
- Remove the steak from refrigeration and allow to come up to room temperature. Soak the cedar plank in warm water for at least an hour.
- Prepare the grill for high heat grilling and place the plank on the grill, closing the lid for about 2 minutes.
- Season the steak on both sides with Spicelopedia™ Primo Steak & Grill Spice. Open the lid of the grill, flip over the plank and place the steak on it. Cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
- When the steak reaches an internal temperature of 120 degrees, take the steak off the plank and sear on the hot grill until grill marks appear (about 2-3 minutes). Brush both sides with BBQ sauce.
- Allow steak to rest for around 3 minutes. Slice and serve.
Recipe Note
We also suggest using oak or maple wood.
