Redneck Eggrolls Recipe

Redneck Egg Rolls are a delicious and unique twist on the classic egg roll. These crispy, flavorful rolls are filled with a combination of traditional Southern ingredients, giving them a distinct and mouthwatering taste. here are the ingredients you need to make them.

 

Ingredients

For the Pork Filling

  • 3.75-4 lbs of Pork Shoulder (Boston Butt)
  • 1/4 cups of Yellow Mustard
  • 1/4 cups of Spicelopedia® Rajun Cajun Seasoning
For the Maple Mustard Sauce
  • 3/4 cups of Yellow Mustard
  • 1 cup of Sugar-Free Pancake Syrup
  • 1 tbsp of Spicelopedia® Rajun Cajun Seasoning*
  • 2 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup of Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp of Low Sodium Soy Sauce
For the Eggrolls
  • 16 Eggroll Wrappers
  • 1/2 cups of Bourbon (optional but recommended)
  • 2 large Scallion, chopped
  • 16 oz of Cream Cheese
  • 8 oz of Condiment Slaw (see recipe)

 

 

Procedures

Step One

Preheat oven to 425 degrees (recommend convection oven).

 

Step Two

Rub the pork with the mustard and seasoning.  Transfer to baking pan with rack.

 

Step Three

Bake, uncovered, at 425 degrees for 20 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and cook for 4 hours until the pork is tender and pulls apart easily with a fork. If using a non-convection oven, the cooking time will be approximately five (5) hours. Note: The pork can be prepared a day ahead and kept under refrigeration. Bring to room temperature before assembling the eggrolls.

 

Step Four

While the pork is roasting, make the sauce: Add the mustard, syrup, seasoning, vinegar, ketchup, and soy sauce to a saucepan. Simmer over low heat until reduced by half. Remove from heat.

 

Step Five

To assemble the eggrolls: Separate eggroll wrappers.

 

Step Six

Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
