
Whiskey Glazed Salmon

Ingredients
- 5 Ounces of Salmon Select Cuts, Wild Caught Each
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp of Spicelopedia™ Italian Lemon Pepper Seasoning
- 1 Tbsp of Local Honey
- 1 Tbsp of Hot Honey
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- ¼ Cups of Whiskey
- 1 Tbsp of Whole Grain Mustard
- Garnish of Lemon Slices
- Garnish of Fresh Dill
Procedures
Step One
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Step Two
Rub each salmon filet on both sides with the olive oil and season evenly with the Spicelopedia Seasoning.
Step Three
Bake salmon for 20 minutes.
Step Four
While the salmon is baking, add the whiskey, both types of honey, the lemon juice and mustard to a saucepan. Reduce over medium heat to half.
Step Five
Add 1/4 Cups of Whiskey.
Step Six
Baste the salmon (top only) with the reduced (glaze) and continue to bake for five (5) minutes.
Step Seven
Garnish with dill and lemon slices.
Note:
For the biggest flavor pop, suggest using a flavored whiskey, like Maple Bacon, or Maple. If you want to create the maple-bacon flavor using regular Maple whiskey, you can add about an 1/8 tsp. bacon drippings to the reduction.
SUGGESTION: Serve over bacon mashed potatoes with steamed green beans.
