Winter is the perfect time to cozy up with a warm cup of hot chocolate. But why settle for a plain and ordinary hot chocolate when you can add a little spice to your life? Introducing the Cinnamon-Chili Spiked Hot Chocolate, a delightful twist on the classic winter beverage.
Ingredients

3 oz. chopped bittersweet chocolate
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 tsp, Spicelopedia Chili Lime Adobo Seasoning, or to taste
- 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
Whisk together chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar, and Spicelopedia Chili Lime Adobo Seasoning in a medium saucepot.
- Place the pot over medium heat and whisk until the chocolate begins to melt. Slowly whisk in the milk then the half and half.
- Add the cinnamon stick and bring to a simmer.
- Remove the pot from the heat and cover. Steep 1 hour.
- Whisk in the vanilla and taste for sweetness. Add sugar if desired. Strain if need be.
- Serve with marshmallows or top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa.
