Ingredients
For Mussels

2 lbs of mussels, scrubed and debearded
For Sauce

1 small chopped onion
- 1 large clove garlic, minced
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 4 large fresh basil leaves
- 4 fresh oregano sprigs
- 2 1/2 cups chopped Roma tomatoes (about 2 lbs.)

1/8-1/4 tsp. Spicelopedia Italian Lemon Pepper Seasoning
- 1 small sliced fresh lemon
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
Directions
Place the oil in a large sauce pan and heat over medium high heat. Add the onions and saute about 5 minutes until golden and tender.
- Add garlic and continue to saute 30 seconds. Top the herbs with tomatoes, Italian Lemon Pepper Seasoning, and lemon slices.
- Season with salt if desired. Arrange the mussels over the lemon slices.
- Pour the broth and wine over all.
- Bring the mussels to a boil and then cover the pan. Cook 3-5 minutes until all the mussel shells have opened.
- Remove from heat and discard any unoped mussels.
