Shrimp Saganaki Recipe

Shrimp Saganaki is a quick and flavorful Greek dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Spicelopedia™ Italian Lemon Pepper seasoning
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- ¼ cup dry white wine
- 1 tbsp tomato paste
- 4 oz. feta cheese crumbles
- Orzo Pasta or rice
Directions
- Place 2 tablespoons of oil in a hot skillet.
- Season shrimp heavily on all sides with Spicelopedia™ Italian Lemon Pepper seasoning.
- Place shrimp into the skillet to cook for about 1 minute per side (not completely cooked through yet)
- Remove shrimp from the skillet.
- Add the onion into skillet and cook until softened, 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Add wine and scrape to deglaze skillet.
- Add tomato paste.
- Add crushed tomatoes, and mix everything together in the skillet.
- Place the shrimp back into the skillet to finish cooking - shrimp will turn pink after a few minutes when done.
- Sprinkle the feta on top and hit it with heat from above to melt.
