Craving something both comforting and sophisticated? Look no further! This smoked salmon pasta recipe is the perfect blend of creamy flavors, complimented by our Italian Lemon Pepper and of course, the diner-staple, smoked salmon.
Ingredients
- ½ lb. Orecchiette pasta, uncooked (half of a 16 oz. box)
- 4 oz. smoked salmon, cut into 1” pieces
- ½ cup frozen peas
- 4 oz. cream cheese, cut small
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
-
1 tbsp Spicelopedia™ Italian Lemon Pepper
Directions
Bring a large pot of water to a boil, season liberally with salt and cook pasta according to instructions. Strain pasta, making sure to reserve 1 cup of water. Set aside.
In a separate pot over medium heat, add half the reserved water, cream cheese, and peas. Bring to a simmer and thoroughly mix to combine. Add more water until desired consistency is reached (add more if necessary). Finish with Italian Lemon Pepper.
Add pasta to sauce, tossing to coat. Then, fold in the dill and smoked salmon until combined.
Recipe Note
Break up the salmon layers and fold in thoroughly so that the salmon is spread out evenly throughout the pasta and so that the salmon doesn’t stick together.
