Florida Orange Glazed Chicken is a vibrant, zesty dish that brings the essence of the tropics to your table. Seasoned with Spicelopedia™ Island Citrus Blast, which adds a bright, tangy citrus flavor, and Spicelopedia™ Peri Peri seasoning for a gentle kick, these chicken thighs are truly mouthwatering. The luscious glaze coats each thigh in a sweet, citrusy shine, capturing the spirit of Florida’s sun-drenched groves in every bite. Perfectly tender and juicy, this dish is as delicious as it is visually stunning, making it a perfect choice for any meal.
Ingredients
- 8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 3 Tbsp. orange marmalade
- 4 tsp. light brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salted butter
- 4 tsp. Spicelopedia™ Island Citrus Blast seasoning
- 2 tsp. Spicelopedia™ Peri Peri seasoning
- 6 Tbsp. orange infused olive oil
Directions
- Place spices in a small bowl and blend well. Place chicken in a large stainless steel bowl. Add half the olive oil and toss to coat well. Add the spices and toss, coating all sides.
- Heat a large sauté pan on medium heat, and add the remaining olive oil. Place the chicken thighs with the smooth side down first, and don’t touch or move them for at least 5-7 minutes (depending on the thickness of the chicken). You will know when it’s time to flip them when chicken easily releases on its own. Flip and cook approximately 5 minutes longer or until the internal temperature reaches 160-165 degrees.
- In a microwaveable bowl, add marmalade, butter, brown sugar, and a dash of each spice. Microwave just enough to melt the ingredients. Remove from the microwave and blend with a whisk or fork.
- Baste chicken with the marmalade sauce. Plate the chicken and pour the remaining sauce over top.
Recipe Note
When making the orange glaze, the amount of spice depends on your palate and can be adjusted accordingly.
