Ingredients
-
4, 6 oz. Tilapia
- 1 Tbsp. salted butter
- Olive oil
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs, plain
-
2 Tbsp. plus ¼ tsp. Spicelopedia™ Peri Peri seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. candied pecans, finely chopped
- Fresh lemon wedges
Directions
- Heat a small fry pan on medium high heat. Melt the butter then stir in ¼ tsp. of the Peri Peri seasoning. Add the panko crumbs and stir with a wooden spoon until golden and toasted. Add the candied chopped pecans. Remove from the hot stovetop.
- Rub each fish filet liberally on both sides with the remaining Spicelopedia™ Peri Peri seasoning, about ½ Tbsp. per 6 oz. filet.
- Heat about 1/4 inch of the oil in a 10-12" saute pan on medium high heat . When the oil is hot, add the fish and cook for 4 minutes. Carefully flip the fish and cook three more minutes until the fish is opaque on the inside. Repeat this procedure with all filets.
- Top cooked fish with the toasted panko-pecan topping.
Recipe Note
Best enjoyed over a rice pilaf with choice of side item, such as roasted asparagus.
