Grilled turkey fajitas offer a delightful twist on a classic favorite, combining vibrant flavors and wholesome ingredients. The turkey tenderloin, grilled to perfection, is seasoned liberally with two of our distinctive spice blends: Spicelopedia™ Chili Lime Adobo with Chipotle and Spicelopedia™ Southwest Zesty Fiesta. These spices infuse the turkey with a harmonious blend of smoky, tangy, and mildly spicy notes. Paired with grilled sweet onions and peppers, the dish not only bursts with flavor but also presents a healthy and satisfying meal. The result is a mouthwatering, nutritious take on fajitas that’s perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Turkey tenderloin – 24 ounces, patted dry
-
2 Tbsp. Spicelopedia™ Chili Lime Adobo Seasoning
- 1.5 Tbsp. Spicelopedia™ Southwest Zesty Fiesta Seasoning
- 1 medium Vidalia or other Sweet Onion, sliced
- 2 cups Bell Peppers, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. Avocado Oil
Directions
- Preheat the grill or griddle to medium heat.
- Combine both seasoning blends. Coat the onions and peppers with two tablespoons of the seasoning plus the avocado oil. Rub the remaining seasoning over both sides of the turkey tenderloins.
- Place the tenderloins directly on the grate or griddle top. Grill, occasionally turning, until the meat thermometer inserted into the thickest portion of the meat reaches 165°F, approximately 45-50 minutes. During the cooking process, grill the peppers and onions. If using a grill with grates, you can add the vegetables to a tinfoil pan or grill-safe pan or if using a griddle, grill directly.
- Remove from heat, cover and let the turkey rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve with tortillas and your favorite toppings.
