A Southwest Cheeseburger is a delicious twist on a classic burger. It combines the flavors of the Southwest with a juicy beef patty, creating a mouthwatering culinary experience. The combination of spices, toppings, and condiments adds a unique and flavorful kick to the traditional burger. To make a Southwest Cheeseburger, you will need the following ingredients:

Ingredients
- 2lbs of Ground Chuck
- Spicelopedia Southwest Zesty Fiesta Seasoning
- 1 large yellow onion, 1/2 crescents
- 1 Red and Green bell pepper each
- 1 cup of Mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp of Cilantro, finely chopped
- 1 Beefsteak tomato, sliced
- 4-6 Pepper Jack cheese slices
- 4-6 hamburger buns
Directions
- In a mixing bowl combine mayonnaise, cilantro and 2 tbsp of seasoning. Mix until combined and refrigerate until ready to use.
For the onions, add to an oiled pan over low-medium heat and caramelize onions for about 20 mins or until a nice medium to darker brown color occurs, making sure to toss every few mins.
Set aside and reheat when ready to use.
Dry saute the peppers over low-medium heat in a nonstick pan, be careful to not overcrowd the pan. Toss every 3-4mins, peppers will be done when they appear blistered with some char and are softened, about 10-12 mins.

In a pan, or grill, over medium heat, add burger patty and cook until browned, about 5 mins. Flip burger and continue cooking to right before the desired doneness (150F-155F for medium well).
Add cheese to the top of the patty and let melt, about 2 mins.
While cheese is melting assemble burgers by spreading burger sauce on buns, layering with tomato, caramelized onion, then blistered peppers.
Finish by adding patty with melted cheese, top with bun.
