These Sweet & Spicy Salmon Filets are a delightful balance of flavors and textures. Seasoned generously with Spicelopedia™ Texas Brisket seasoning, the salmon has a bold, smoky kick that perfectly complements the natural richness of the fish. Sautéed until the edges are crisp and caramelized, each filet develops a savory crust that locks in moisture. The showstopper is the maple-soy sauce, which adds a layer of sweet complexity, with the syrup's rich sweetness contrasting beautifully against the umami of the soy. Each bite offers a satisfying mix of spice, sweetness, and a hint of smokiness, making for a truly flavorful experience.
Ingredients
- 4, 6 oz. salmon filets
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- Cooking spray
- 1 Tbsp. Spicelopedia™ Texas Brisket seasoning
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
Directions
- Place salmon filets in a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil and toss to coat. Add the Spicelopedia™ Texas Brisket seasoning and gently toss to coat all sides of the fish.
- Heat a sauté pan on medium high. Spray pan with cooking spray. Add salmon filets. Turn heat to medium. Cook about 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish. Flip once you see that the flesh has lightened about ¾ of the way up the fish. Sear for another 1-2 minutes.
- Place maple syrup and soy in a small microwaveable bowl. Heat just enough to warm. Stir and serve over salmon filets.
